Kids Corner
During regular business hours, children and youth ages 2 to 17 are welcomed to shop in our Kids Corner shopping area where they can choose from nutritional, single-serving items. Volunteers staff the area to assist with their shopping and educate each child using MyPlate principles and provide shoppers with the autonomy to make their own choices. Our hope with the Kids Corner program is to foster independence and healthy choices in children, as well as creating a positive shopping experience for both the child and their adult. Kids Corner is looked forward to by many and welcomes over 200 children on average each month. Kids Corner volunteers and funding are always needed to ensure we are able to continue this important work.
